Easy Patriotic Decor
Easy Patriotic Decor that is fun and super simple! I bought one of the square metal corrugated signs at Dollar Tree, grabbed my paint, then started crafting this simple yet cute patriotic decor piece.
Supplies:
- Square metal sign from Dollar Tree
- Red, white, and blue paint
- Paint brushes
The first thing I did was paint a blue square on the top left of the metal sign. I used Apple Barrel mountain blue paint, but you can use any blue paint on hand. I painted 2 coats and let the first coat fully dry before painting the second coat. You can also use painter’s tape to help you paint the square area, but I painted mine freehand.
Next, I took my Apple Barrel snow white paint and painted the remaining area of the square sign. I let the first coat fully dry again before applying a second coat.
Once the second coat of white paint was fully dry, I took my Apple Barrel flag red paint and painted 2 coats of red horizontal stripes onto the white area.
After I let the red stripes dry thoroughly, I took my white paint and hand-painted stars onto the blue area of my sign.
Project complete! I put it out on my front porch standing it in a planter I have. I think it looks great!
This is a cute piece for Memorial Day as well as Independence Day. Will you be making an easy patriotic piece of your own? If so, make sure to share a photo in my creative community group!
